World

Today, in la Palma a volcano erupted which created flows of lava enlightening to tourists and neighbors but deadly to life. On this Spanish island, many airports began to close and people are preparing for evacuation because of the threat of new emissions. Martinez explains, “The volcano has spewed out thousands of tons of lava, destroyed hundreds of houses and forced the evacuation of nearly 6,000 people since it began erupting last Sunday.” This fire monster is proving to be a rising menace to the well being of the Spanish people.

COVID

The U.S. Health system is preparing more medical care and supplies because of the ginormous spread of COVID 19. Resources are falling short and the “health workers have begun to question if there will be enough ICU beds and ventilators.”(Fisher). The Delta variant has caused a large rising in cases and deaths therefore raising concerns for providence by the health system.

Science

The Landsat-9 mission takes a big leap in observing how the Earth is changing. BBC confirms the Landsat-9 has the ability to discover natural disasters, climate change patterns, and get a much sharper view of geographical features on Earth. This mission is very dear to the development in science because of its constant observation of our world.

Health

A recent outbreak of Salmonella has doubled in infections causing chaos and suffering as the CDC confirms. On Sept. 15, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported 127 people in 25 states had been infected with salmonella, resulting in 18 hospitalizations. Because of this new testing has taken place such as collecting food samples at restaurants. After COVID, the prominence of a new outbreak has been stretching across many states rapidly.
